1. Information We Collect
Account data: Email, name, company name, and password hash when you register.
DNS data: Zone names, DNS records, and configuration you create through the platform.
Usage data: DNS query statistics (aggregated, not individual queries), login timestamps, and feature usage.
Payment data: Processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and maintain the DNS hosting service
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To send transactional emails (account verification, billing alerts)
- To generate aggregated analytics and improve the platform
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security threats
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Stripe — for payment processing
- PowerDNS infrastructure — DNS zone data is stored on our authoritative servers
- Law enforcement — only when legally required
4. Data Retention
Account and DNS data is retained while your account is active. After account deletion, data is removed within 30 days. Aggregated analytics may be retained indefinitely.
5. Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS), bcrypt password hashing, CSRF protection, and role-based access control. See our Security page for details.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, or export your data. Contact privacy@wizudns.com.
7. Cookies
We use session cookies for authentication. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
